With the travel/summer season already in full swing, Ben and Candace recently packed their clients’ bags for a European vacation for him/her and her family! Both designers felt it was important for their clients’ clothes to reflect European culture in their simplicity and versatility.
Here’s an inside look at how Candace and Ben conquered this task.

“To make sure my client was prepared, we spent time going over the itinerary and prioritizing the key pieces we wanted to make. This included versatile pants for switching between different climates and adaptable clothes. From there I added the best options and minimal accessories.
“For trips like this, it’s less about a collection of trendy looks, but rather about the simplicity of an essential look that can be renewed over and over again. As designers, this is exciting because it affirms our philosophy of selecting pieces with intention, attention to shape, silhouette and personal style.”

“This is a client I’ve been working with for the last year, so I knew how to reflect his personal style. The exciting challenge was how to pack minimal while also keeping in mind the changeable climates they would experience on this trip. I did this by choosing classic pieces that could be layered or worn alone to create a capsule wardrobe. I also noticed when pieces might get re-worn due to having access to laundry. I made sure to include light shoes for hiking and exploratory walks. Accessories are where I’ve played a bit more, including my clients’ favorite luxury accessories for dinners and nights out.”
